Her is an unusual effect that is popping up all over the place! It has recently been seen on the new series Sherlock Holmes. It's quite an effective techique that is really pretty simple to produce. Just blur out the areas of the phot that are not the main subject and then saturate the overall color of the photo. It's that easy to create a photo that looks like it was photographed on an HO train set layout.
